Opinel folding oyster knife

The Opinel folding knife, with its clean, simple design and remarkable utility, has been prized by adventurers, artists and chefs for more than 100 years.

This pocket knife is used to open oysters and seafood carefully. The oyster and shellfish knife is made with a strong and sharp stainless steel blade, and the tip of the knife is centred in the axis of the handle for better ergonomics. Made in France.

The handle is made of bubbinga wood, an African hardwood, extremely hard, and therefore well suited to the tough job of shucking oysters. Opinel selected bubbinga wood because it also resists moisture, another important issue with oysters.

Corrosion resistant and has tremendous cutting quality. The Virobloc safety system locks the blade open or closed. The knife also makes a great fishing knife. A great gift!
