Temple of the Sun Ariadne necklace gold
Temple of the Sun Ariadne necklace gold
The Ariadne Necklace by Temple of the Sun is inspired by Minoan mythology and features a peridot gemstone. Ariadne’s string is a fine curb chain ushered through the double bail of the geometric pendant.
The Minoan princess used this string to guide her beloved through the labyrinthine catacombs below the palace of Knossos. A journey of redemption illuminated by baguette cut peridot, providing a metaphoric light at the end of the tunnel.
The Ariadne Necklace offers hope, guiding us through the fathomless corridors of our inner labyrinth.

Peridot has been used in jewellery by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans who revered this gemstone as a symbol of the Sun. Peridot radiates feelings of inner warmth, wellbeing and positivity.
Temple of the Sun uses only recycled sterling silver 925 as the base metal for their vermeil gold and silver jewelry. Vermeil jewelry is made by laying a layer of 18K gold over a sterling silver base, making it high quality and durable, with a thickness of at least 2.5 microns. This thickness makes it more resistant to tarnishing and fading than plated gold jewelry (which has a minimum thickness of 0.5 microns).
Jewellery care:
Remove gemstone jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause damage. Gemstone jewellery can be gently scrubbed with a soft-bristled or baby-sized toothbrush coated in warm, soapy water to dislodge any dirt.
To ensure the gold lustre remains golden and bright it is important to remove your necklace each time we apply makeup, cosmetics, shower and swim. Gold vermeil, like all non-solid gold, is designed to fade over time.
