Temple of the Sun Capella coin necklace gold

Named after one of the brightest stars in the night sky, the Capella Coin Necklace features an 18k gold vermeil pendant set with a round brilliant-cut lab diamond, suspended from a rope chain.

A circumpolar star in high northern latitudes, Capella is visible throughout the year, its guiding light woven into ancient navigation, mythology, and cultural traditions across civilisations.

Temple of the Sun uses only recycled sterling silver 925 as the base metal for their vermeil gold and silver jewellery. Vermeil jewellery is made by laying a layer of 18K gold over a sterling silver base, making it high quality and durable, with a thickness of at least 2.5 microns. This thickness makes it more resistant to tarnishing and fading than plated gold jewellery (which has a minimum thickness of 0.5 microns).

Jewellery care:
Remove gemstone jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause damage. Gemstone jewellery can be gently scrubbed with a soft-bristled or baby-sized toothbrush coated in warm, soapy water to dislodge any dirt.

To ensure the gold lustre remains golden and bright it is important to remove your necklace each time we apply makeup, cosmetics, shower and swim. Gold vermeil, like all non-solid gold, is designed to fade over time.
