The Vesta Ring by Temple of the Sun is beautifully presented in tumbled gold vermeil and features three delicate sapphires that guide us with their wisdom and bring the energy of the sun and moon into our daily practices.

Throughout the ages, the sun and the moon have been used as symbols of the masculine and feminine principles as an expression of polarity. They have been mystically represented as deities, or as a solar king and a lunar queen.

Blue Sapphire is a precious gemstone associated with wisdom, knowledge and insight. Considered sacred across many cultures, its celestial blue hues mirror the night sky. Forever associated with loyalty and commitment, sapphires are traditionally used as an expression of love and devotion.

Temple of the Sun uses only recycled sterling silver 925 as the base metal for their vermeil gold and silver jewelry. Vermeil jewelry is made by laying a layer of 18K gold over a sterling silver base, making it high quality and durable, with a thickness of at least 2.5 microns. This thickness makes it more resistant to tarnishing and fading than plated gold jewelry (which has a minimum thickness of 0.5 microns).

Jewellery care:
Remove gemstone jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause damage and avoid wearing with clothes that have loose threads or abrasive textures, to prevent snagging. Gemstone jewellery can be gently scrubbed with a soft-bristled or baby-sized toothbrush coated in warm, soapy water to dislodge any dirt.

Being on our hands exposes the ring to the most wear and tear. To ensure the gold lustre remains golden and bright it is important to remove your rings each time we hand sanitise, apply makeup, cosmetics, shower, swim and even cook.
